We were looking for somewhere to have a drink on a wet winter night and popped into The Crown. What an amazing reception we had , so friendly. Plenty of room, although very quiet it was such a lovely atmosphere . We returned twice more to eat, the food was good and tasty and again service was friendly and prompt. Toilets were clean and warm! I can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay.

Lovely atmosphere. Been twice this week for food. Menu fairly small but well cooked and tasty food. Staff friendly and attentive. Especially Becca. Well worth a visit

Lovely wee cosy place. Always appear understaffed. Service is always good though. Regular pub 'micro' grub. Good choice on the menu. No complaints.

Actually ate at the restaurant. Chicken fingers were great! Fish and chips were spot on! Nice work!!

Lunch was really nice. Lounge looked like it had been renovated recently. Very tidy. I'd visit again.

We only found this place by chance. We had never been to Callander before but we arrived on Tuesday 6th August and decided to have some lunch while we were there. The Crown was on the main street with easy access. The inside of the building looked as if it had recently been renovated and was nice and clean and airy. There was plenty of seating and not at all cramped. The menu available at lunch time was quite comprehensive and the range of drinks impressive. The service was quick but the food certainly had not been sat waiting a long time it all appeared to have been cooked to order. Staff were smart and helpful. Also the toilets were very clean and modern. All in all a nice place to have a drink and a meal. We cannot comment on the rooms as we were only passing through. If the rest of the place was at such a good standard I imagine the rooms were also.

Room was a little small and sound insulation was non existent. Excellent shower and our evening meal was good.

3/5/24 Decided to have lunch in this hotel WHY? 'cos displayed outside was smaller meals & cheeper too. So in we went & it was good to see it was quite busy. Had a wee bit of a wait, but wasn't bothered about that & the waitress Heather apologised for that & as far as i was concerned she was 'VERY PLEASANT' I ordered the small 🐠 chips 🍟 & peas & when it came I told heather the plate wasn't very warm & she kindly offered to heat it up, but i declined & you all know - hot🔥 food served up on a near cold plate is a No! No! The batter on the 🐠 looked a bit pale (maybe because there was no colouring in the batter) & it could have been fried a wee bit longer but it tasted good & so did the french fries 🍟 but the small peas were a bit cold. It was good to see Heather put down a square mat ⬜ on the table for the tea pot to sit on & save the heat from the pot dissipating onto the cold table. NEXT to come was my custard & apple pie, which tasted real good - the custard wasn't too thin & the apple slice tasted just gr8 BUT it was all warm & not hot at all 👎 ☹️ at least there was good amount of custard.

We stayed here for one night on a weekday and had dinner downstairs at the pub. It was lovely - food was good, service was great, room and bathroom were very clean. If we make it back to Scotland, we’ll stay here again!

Two nights stay in the Crown , great wee hotel. I was in room 5, very clean with your tea coffee two bottles of water and two Carmel logs, that's a result on its own. Hotel is in the centre of callander so can't go wrong. Staff were friendly and chatty. Had steak pie for dinner , delicious well worth the £14. I would definitely come back here, and would highly recommend.

Beautiful, clean, modern room. We ate dinner at the pub below and had a lovely time and delicious food. At about 9pm a musical performance began. The volume was very loud, so we went to our room. Much to our dismay, we found that the sound was clearly audible to the point of vibrating some of the furniture in our room. After a day of hiking and outdoor activities were quite tired and hoping to get to bed early. Sadly the performance went on until midnight which made it impossible to sleep before then. Their website does mention that they have live music on Saturdays – we just did not realize how loud that music would be. Absolutely recommend this hotel any day except Saturday!

Nous avons mangé au restaurant et quelle honte! Nous avons pris le burger mais la viande n’en n’était pas! C’était du reconstitué ! Et le burger se réduit à 2 tranches de pain et 1 « steak ». En plus c’est cher! Pas d’ambiance… Bref rien ne va! A fuir…

Was a one night stay for us. The staff was very attentive and polite. Breakfast is very limited and Continental style. Too much of sweet options . It might not worth to include in the room but to walk few minutes and you'll find choices outside of the hotel.

Been in for a couple of evening meals in the last few weeks and on both occasions have had the Sea Bass. Quite simply the best tasting Sea Bass dish I’ve ever had. First rate and thank you 👍

I just ate at the restaurant. It was good, dog friendly and atmospheric. I touch expensive though.

Wij hebben een hapje en drankje gedaan in de bar. Het was heel lekker eten. De bediening was ook goed. Curry, Fish and chips & 2 cola = £ 31
